Our History
St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and School is a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The LC-MS, founded in 1846, is a church body of 2.4 million members. It operates over 2,500 preschools, day schools, and high schools across the United States.
St. Peter’s Lutheran Church itself was founded in 1869. A Christian Day School was organized in September, 1872. The school has been at its current location since 1953. A gymnasium was added to the structure in 1975. The latest addition was a Preschool/Daycare facility in 2002.
Through much of its history, the school served students in grades 1-8. A kindergarten program was added in 1986. The program started as a half-day program but was later expanded to full day. A preschool program for three and four year-olds began in 2002.
